Rita Moita-Santos

Lead computational biologist
Owkin

Rita Santos studied biochemistry at the University of Lisbon, followed by a MSc in drug discovery and safety at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a PhD in bioinformatics at EMBL-European Bioinformatics Institute. After completing her PhD, she joined GSK R&D as a computational biologist, and was involved in multiple projects on target identification and validation. Currently, she is a lead computational biologist at Owkin. During her time at GSK, assessing and improving the utility of chemical probes has been a recurring requirement, specially to enable chemogenomic screens.
