Laetitia Martin

Project Leader
Roche (Basel, Switzerland)

Laetitia Martin has been a medicinal chemistry project leader at F. Hoffman-La Roche (Basel, Switzerland) since 2017 and the small molecule research liaison for their oncology division since 2020. She has led multidisciplinary oncology and immuno-oncology projects and manages various aspects of Roche's small molecule portfolio in her liaison role. She has been a SERP/SAB member of the chemical probe portal since 2016 and is an active member of the AACR-CICR communication group (2021-2022). Prior to her time with Roche, she worked as a Project leader in Boehringer Ingelheim’s oncology medicinal chemistry department in Vienna (Austria). She obtained her PhD from Imperial College London (UK) in Prof. Alan Spivey´s group, working on the total synthesis of (+)-Lycorine and on the phase-tagged synthesis of radiolabeled compounds. She completed a postdoctoral position that split her time between Novartis (Basel, Switzerland) and Prof. Steve Ley´s group at Cambridge University (UK). During this time she evaluated the utility of ‘flow chemistry’ and where appropriate implemented it as a new technology within Global Discovery Chemistry in Novartis. Laetitia has also worked at Sanofi (Frankfurt, Germany), Chemovation (Horsham, UK) and CisBioInternational (Bagnol sur Ceze, France).
