David Mann

Professor
Imperial College London

Professor David Mann holds a Chair in Molecular Biology at Imperial College London. He completed his PhD studies in regulated gene expression at the University of Sheffield followed by postdoctoral fellowships in the MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit, University of Dundee with Professors Philip and Patricia Cohen then with Professor Nic Jones at CRUK London laboratory; both positions centred on kinases and phosphatases. His first PI position was at Brunel University followed quickly by a move to Imperial in 1999. He has remained at Imperial ever since, developing a range of chemical biology projects pursuing protein kinase biology and more recently developing methodology for covalent protein modification.
