The new Chemical Probes Portal is now available at chemicalprobes.org including data and recommendations on more than 650 small molecule tools.

The new portal has a faster, more intuitive search, easier online forms for submitting and reviewing compounds and an entirely new backend structure to facilitate updates in the future.

Thanks to everyone who got in touch with feedback. You can still let us know what you think of the new system, or get in touch to suggest probes or targets to be featured.

The Chemical Probes Portal now contains data on 664 compounds, including 387 recommended chemical probes that target 315 proteins. The Portal now also features PROTACs and molecular glues, in addition to small molecule inhibitors, agonists and antagonists.

A list of 257 historical compounds highlights substances that have been used as probes or inhibitors in the past, but have since been shown to be unselective, contain PAINs motifs, or act through other mechanisms.

A new, expanded Scientific Expert Review Panel (former SAB) reflects the hard work and knowledge of our 180 expert reviewers, who together have contributed 900 reviews of potential chemical tool compounds.
