SERP Comments:

In the original publication the authors state: "Given the multiple actions of AZP2006, more experiments are needed to clearly understand the mechanism underpinning PGRN release and TLR9 inhibition. In particular, it would be interesting to better identify the mechanism used by AZP2006 to enter the cell and to target the lysosomes." Thus, AZP2006 can only be used with caution as a chemical probe for progranulin, a validated target of the molecule.
